The IL41050TAE integrates two dual isolator channels with a signaling section. The two channels use digital signal isolation and ensure that a power line and its associated system remain isolated for optimal safety. When the transmitting side signals a transition, the voltage-variable resistor increases the voltage slightly to create bobbin voltage, which is transferred to the receiver section via the interwinding coupling capacitors. This induces a voltage in the floating transformer at the receiver side, which is then detected by the IC circuits.The IL41050TAE provides reliable, high-accuracy signal isolation for a variety of applications. The isolation voltage between primary and secondary sides can reach up to 4000V proof voltage (1 minute) and 1000VRMS isolation voltage. The overvoltage protection limits the voltage seen on the ICs outputs when operating from the digital side to just above 5V. The overcurrent protection circuitry detects and disables an output current of 350mA or greater, protecting the IC from damage.
