Power management integrated circuits (PMIC) are an increasingly important segment of the application of integrated circuits. Gate drivers are one of the most critical and complex components of a PMIC system, and they have an important role to play in helping to control the voltage and current of a power distribution system. The IR2151S is an example of a low-side current-sensing gate driver designed specifically for automotive applications.
