It is an ideal development platform for SMPS designers, providing a quick and easy way to validate their designs. The board enables users to quickly evaluate the performance of their design, allowing for faster time-to-market with higher confidence that the design is working as expected.The IRDC3637 contains a buck (step-down) converter optimized for narrow-voltage input/output ranges. The board is designed to operate from a wide input voltage range, making it perfect for evaluating off-line AC-DC or DC-DC SMPS. The board is designed with an operating frequency of 400KHz, but can be easily adjusted with an external inductor for higher switching frequencies.The IRDC3637 offers a wide variety of features to make it easy to evaluate your design. It includes a dedicated discharge pin to discharge the input capacitor during testing in order to obtain a steady state input voltage. The board includes an external compensation network which allows for simple and effective control of the SMPS response. The compensation network is adjustable to allow the user to explore the SMPS operating region.In addition, the board features two sets of output voltage adjustment pins that enable the user to modify the output voltage range of the converter.
