The IRDC3846 Evaluation Board is an innovative and high performance DC/DC and AC/DC (off-line) SMPS board designed for general purpose applications. It provides a wide range of voltage, frequency and current options, making it suitable for a variety of system designs. When an input AC mains supply is applied to the AC input terminals, the AC voltage level is being detected by the IRDC3846 EEPROM based DC/DC converter and the PWM signal is generated accordingly. The generated PWM signal is then used to control the switching of the MOSFET bridge and power is switched from the DC input to the load. The output voltage is monitored and controlled by the IRDC3846 EEPROM based DC/DC converter family to ensure the output voltage remains stable over a wide load range.
