The IXDI604PI is a monolithic power IC that integrates a low side gate driver integrated with a logic / power combination driver. It is available in surface mount packages and has a wide range of applications such as synchronous rectifiers, active ORing, and half-bridge/ full-bridge drivers. By utilizing a proprietary low noise pulse width modulation (PWM) technology, the integrated gate driver\'s output is native PWM drive capable and offers maximum efficiency, lower noise and EMI compared to discrete drivers.The IXDI604PI is classified as a PMIC – Gate Drivers. It is a module consisting of both analog and logic circuitry that is used to drive power switches such as MOSFETs and IGBTs. It provides the required gate driving signals such as the necessary output gate voltage levels applied to the gate of the power switches in order to control the on/off transition of the switches.The IXDI604PI operates on a low supply voltage of up to 14V and provides a maximum output drive current of up to 8A for driving a wide range of loads, including MOSFETs and IGBTs. Its low RDSon on-state resistance ensures low on-state losses. Moreover, high efficiency is obtained from the wide switching frequency range of up to 3MHz, which supports the low side gate drive for synchronous rectifier applications.The IXDI604PI offers an internal over-temperature protection feature. This feature senses the die temperature and drives an over-temperature fault output, which serves to protect the device from reaching high temperatures. Additionally, the IXDI604PI is equipped with an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) feature that prevents the device from functioning when the supply voltage is below its predetermined UVLO level.The working principle of the IXDI604PI is based on an internal pulse width modulation (PWM) technology. It utilizes a PWM controller and an independent power circuit which includes a power MOSFET.
