IXDI609CI is a PMIC - Gate Drivers device manufactured by IXYS Corporation which provides users with a combined high-speed source/sink driver and isolated gate driver. Its main application fields include high power DC-DC converter, motor drives and various other power management applications. The IXDI609CI device features fast transition times, flexible control logic, robust power and thermal performance, and wide input/output voltage range.
This device is designed to achieve reliable optical isolate gate driver for your applications and thus it can be used for driving IGBTs and MOSFETs. The IXDI609CI device comes with separate high speed input/output signals (HIN/HOUT), allowing it to support up to two independent channels. With its two-channel driver, it can be used to switch both high current and low current switches. It also has a built-in over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection for maximum reliability and safety.
In terms of the working principle of IXDI609CI devices, it relies on the principle of "FET switch gate drive". This gate drive technique enables the user to control the output devices (IGBTs or MOSFETs) by providing a digital or analog signal to the gate driver.
