Integrating Antenna diversity, RSSI function, advanced frame filtering, and supporting up to 16 GPIOs, the JN5168DB offers comprehensive ZigBee feature sets and a higher level of system integration capability.

The Base Board of JN5168DB/01Z Evaluation Kit provides a space for mezzanine and other external WiFi modules, and it also provides multiple potential applications for ZigBee, such as home applications, medical applications, industrial automation, and body area network. The base board permits customers to create and develop ZigBee devices quickly.

The JN5168DB/01Z Evaluation Kit provides a convenient ZigBee PRO system and applicability to end customers and many possibilities for developers to work on customizable designs with other ZigBee compliant devices or quite a few other non-IEEE802.15.4 wireless nodes. The Eval Kit also allows developers to test their ZigBee systems and verify their application\'s configuration before furthering their development projects.

The JN5168DB/01Z works in principle by using the 32-bit high performance 80MHz enhanced microcontroller with ZigBee compliant IEEE802.15.4 RF transceiver. It supports the full Zigbee function set for a fully compliant device. This includes transmission throughput up to 250kbit/s, layer 2 security services, RFC compliant, self healing mesh network, Green power up to 100mA of active transmission current and both star and mesh network.

The JN5168DB/01Z Evaluation Kit eliminates the need to develop a physical differential trace antenna, by using the ceramic antenna or external UFL antenna. What’s more, it allows customers to evaluate the performance of the IEEE802.15.4 RF transceiver which includes continuous wave, packet error rate, bit rate and dynamic range tests.
