<div>The LM25018MRFBEVM device is a high-frequency DC/DC converter, developed by Texas Instruments (TI). It can be used for a variety of different applications, including Point-of-Load (POL), intermediate bus converters (IBCs), and stand-alone or distributed systems, as well as powering multiple non-isolated loads from a single power supply.</div><div><br></div><div><b>Working Principle</b></div><div>The LM25018MRFBEVM offers a highly configurable, easy-to-use evaluation board with integrated protection features to ensure system safety and reliability. At the heart of the LM25018MRFBEVM board is TI\'s LM25018MRFBEV device. The LM25018MRFBEV device is a high-efficiency, high-frequency DC/DC converter designed to operate over a wide input voltage range, and is capable of delivering up to 4A of output current over its wide output voltage range.</div><div><br></div><div>The LM25018MRFBEV device utilizes a patented approach for combining a buck and an inverter onto a single integrated circuit, resulting in a high-density off-line DC/DC converter with an incredibly simple control scheme. The device utilizes a constant frequency PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) control to convert the input voltage to an adjustable output voltage. The LM25018MRFBEV device also features a special protection mode that prevents damage to the device or system in the event of an over-voltage or over-temperature condition.</div><div><br></div><div>The LM25018MRFBEVM board is designed with two output voltages of 3.3V and 5V and provides a potentiometer inputs for setting the output voltages. The board also features 10MHz synchronization input for synchronization of multiple outputs and RF EMI input for controlling the radiated EMI. The board also has monitoring outputs for reporting over-voltage or temperature conditions. The board utilizes TI\'s analog and digital housekeeping ICs and is housed in a convenient form factor ideal for evaluation of the LM25018MRFBEV device.</div><div><br></div><div>The LM25018MRFBEVM is an excellent solution for designers looking for a simple, cost-effective evaluation board to help bring their projects to life.
