The LM2577T-15/NOPB is an easy to use, high efficiency DC/DC switching regulator. It is designed to provide 15V minimal voltage drop in a wide range of system applications. With a switching frequency of 150kHz, the LM2577T-15/NOPB is suitable for a wide variety of applications ranging from industrial, automotive, computer, telecommunications and consumer applications.
It is suitable for use in applications involving 12V DC and can deliver up to 1.5A of output current in a well-regulated output voltage. The LM2577T-15/NOPB have high input/output isolation, wide input voltage range, low noise and stable output voltage in a very small size. It is suitable for use in applications from 4.5V to 33V DC.
In the LM2577T-15/NOPB, the switching frequency can be programmed by means of internal resistors. The LM2577T-15/NOPB consists of a current-mode boost controller and an external N-FET switch. The boost controller has two active current-controlled loops that help in setting up an optimal switching frequency and regulating the system\'s power output. The boost controller converts the low voltage, low current input at the low side of the switch into a high voltage, high current pulse that is applied to the switch’s source terminal. This allows the switch to open and close quickly, thus providing a high frequency, Low EMI solution.
The LM2577T-15/NOPB also consists of an external P-FET switch and an internal current sensing device. The P-FET switch provides additional reliability by limiting the peak output current and balancing the input/output isolation requirements. The internal current sensing device senses the boost voltage required for proper regulation and limits the output current to the desired level when the input voltage is exceeded.
The LM2577T-15/NOPB can be used in many applications, including solar-power systems, data and wireless communication systems, consumer electronics, industrial and automotive systems, embedded systems, and portable medical and instrumentation applications. It can also be used in applications requiring low power, low noise, and/or low form factor.
