LM5009SDC/NOPB is a high performance Step-Down Constant Frequency Current Mode Switching Regulator that provides 24V, 1A output power in a low-profile 8-lead SON package. It provides an ultra-fast and low sound mid-power solution for power-sensitive high power loads with an embedded microcontroller.

The LM5009SDC/NOPBs offer a few different modes of operations, including a buck mode, boost mode, and a combination buck/boost mode. In a buck (step-down) mode, the device can provide an output voltage in a range of 0.85 V to 12.5 V while in a boost (step-up) mode the voltage may range from 0.8 V to 20 V. The combination mode allows the device to provide an adjustable output voltage ranging from 0.65V to 16.5V.

The working principle of the LM5009SDC/NOPB is based on the switching regulator known as a buck converter.
