The LM5068MMX-2/NOPB is a PMIC Hot Swap Controller that offers a complete, single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) current-limiting power switch compatible with the zero insertion force (ZIF) socket. The device is designed to enable a system designer to increase system reliability while reducing the number of necessary components in tightly integrated stackable solutions. One of the main applications of the LM5068MMX-2/NOPB is the protection of low-voltage systems from overcurrent by limiting the maximum current that can be drawn from the power supply. Additionally, the device can be used for hot swap and overload applications.

The LM5068MMX-2/ NOPB provides two protection functions that are key to maintaining system reliability. The first is current-limiting, which is used to prevent the system from drawing too much current from the power supply. The device offers adjustable current-limit setpoints ranging from 3mA to 37mA, allowing system designers to configure the device to best match their system\'s power requirements.
