Working Principle

The LM5051MA/NOPB operates by using a power cycle protection system to protect against output undershoot and overshoot conditions. When the output voltage drops below the minimum set point, the PMIC switches off the power and disables the load. When the output voltage hits the maximum set point, the PMIC switches off the power and disables the load.The power cycle protection system also provides an adjustable protection level in the event of a power surge.
