LMK03000CISQ/NOPB Application Field and Working Principle

The LMK03000CISQ/NOPB is a low jitter and low noise clock generator and programmable spread spectrum synthesizer integrated circuit (IC). Description

The LMK03000CISQ/NOPB integrates both a programmable frequency synthesizer and a PLL that allows the user to generate output clock frequencies with very low jitter. The PLL includes a phase detector with a 1.2-V level shifter inputs, a programmable loop filter, and a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). It can be programmed to generate output clocks from 10 kHz to 600 MHz with zero-delay and low jitter. The programmable frequency synthesizer, on the other hand, provides either a fixed frequency output or a spread-spectrum clock signal output.

Working Principle

The LMK03000CISQ/NOPB works by using the input clock frequency as the reference frequency to synthesize other related lower and higher frequencies through the programmable frequency synthesizer and the PLL.
