The MAX1188AEUP+ is a state-of-the-art 8-channel ADC offering high precision, low-noise, and high resolution performance. Its robust features and customer-friendly features make the MAX1188AEUP+ the ideal choice for many applications requiring precise data conversion.The MAX1188AEUP+ is a highly integrated, low-power multi-channel ADC used in a wide range of analog applications including temperature sensing, signal conditioning, power management and control, data acquisition, and more. The MAX1188AEUP+ features an integrated Low-Noise Amplifier (LNA) with a power-down detector, differential input channels with additive dither, 6-bit to 12-bit fixed-point resolution, and a single ended or bipolar input signal range of ±10V (+12V for differential signals). The input signal is converted by the ADC’s 8 SAR or 8 successive-approximation-register (SAR) architecture to a digital output word with 11-bit or 12-bit resolution.The MAX1188AEUP+ offers low power consumption and a wide power range from 2.7V to 5.5V. This allows the device to operate across a variety of applications environments, from battery-powered devices to high power, low voltage electronics. The MAX1188AEUP+ also features an adjustable power-down detector, enabling two different power-saving modes while in standby mode. The device provides maximum power savings when the power down detection threshold is set to highest level, conserving power when the input signal is below the preset threshold.The integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA) and the on-chip 12-bit resolution SAR ADC make the MAX1188AEUP+ extremely accurate and reliable. The device has excellent linearity and low distortion performance, with the maximum differential nonlinearity (DNL) of +/-0.4LSB. The MAX1188AEUP+ features an integrated temperature sensor which enables temperature adjustments in the LNA, reducing source drift and providing thermal stability of the output signal. The device operates typically at 10MIPs/channel and supports up to 8 simultaneous input channels.The MAX1188AEUP+ is highly configurable, allowing users to program the device using the I2L-bus interface. The I2L-bus is simple and allows programming of various features such as resolution, conversion rate, power-down detect bias, gain setting, and other specific options. The device also features an analog-to-digital conversion rate of 10uS/V and a combined on-board sampling accuracy of ±14mV in 10V range.The MAX1188AEUP+ is perfectly suited for many applications.
