The integrated amplifier inside the MAX1242BCSA+ allows it to be used in applications with a wide range of input conditions. It is also accompanied by a built-in reference and reference buffer amplifiers which enable input signals to be scaled to the full-scale input voltage range.The MAX1242BCSA+ Data Acquisition System is an integrated powerful and versatile data acquisition system perfect for high performance embedded applications. It has a MicroController Unit (MCU) to provide a comprehensive set of communication interface, and DMA peripherals for streamlining the process of outputting acquired data and for rapid data retrieval without CPU intervention. It has a powerful SCSI Protocol Interpreter that enables faster, more efficient data acquisition.Moreover, the MAX1242BCSA+ is fast and flexible due to the integrated Multi-IO pod which can support variety of input/output modes like digital conversion, analog, digital/analog I/O, as well as multi-channel SPI, I2C, and UART. It also offers low current consumption that allows for longer operation in battery-operated applications.The MAX1242BCSA+ has an on-board Auto Calibration, which calibrates itself for linearity, offset, and gain errors, reducing the need for manual trimming. Moreover, the Calibration Process outputs two words, result and loop count for the errors at any given temperature. This helps ensure that the MAX1242BCSA+ is reliable even in critical environmental conditions like temperature, electricity and vibration.It also has a Strobe Control System, that enables the user to control the sampling rate which lets the user identify conditions and choose the optimal sampling rate when needed.
