The MAX16103UT+ is a sub-miniature, high-accuracy, low-power supervisor for monitoring overvoltage and undervoltage conditions. The device offers a power-on reset (POR) and power-fail (PFAIL) functions. It works with an industry-standard 10µA accuracy over the entire operating temperature range. The device can operate in either idle or active mode, with the latter providing an alert on power sequencing events such as too-fast rise times. The MAX16103UT+ is suitable for use in industrial control, telecom, datacom, and consumer applications.The MAX16103UT+ is designed for use in commercial and industrial applications. It is well suited for monitoring the output voltages of DC-DC converters and power supplies in portable, embedded and industrial control systems. It can also be integrated into systems using multiple power sources, such as battery management systems, motor control circuits and distributed power systems. In addition, it is suitable for use in battery-fed and ac-powered systems.The MAX16103UT+ operates through the connection of an external supply and an external sensing resistor. Upon power on, the device will first charge the internal capacitor to a reference voltage. When the voltage at the sense pin goes below the reference voltage, the output will toggle from logic low to logic high and back, inducing a reset and/or power fail event. In addition, the device is also able to detect overvoltage conditions; if the voltage at the sense pin exceeds the reference voltage by greater than 40mV, the output will tog
