Working Principle
The MAX17007AGTI+ operates on continuous conduction mode (CCM) topology to ensure tight output voltage accuracy with zero-voltage switching (ZVS). The device uses current mode control (CMC) to achieve fast load transient response, excellent line and load regulation, and high efficiency up to 98%.
The device implements Peak Current Mode Control (PCMC) and voltage positioning regulation to improve power efficiency, reduce power consumption and improve transient response to sudden changes in load current.
The integrated inductor current sensing feature of the MAX17007AGTI+ accurately monitors the output current and sets the external reference voltage to maintain the output voltage set-point.
