The MAX1771EPA+ is a high-efficiency, high-bandwidth, peak current DC-DC switching controller suitable for use in off-line and multiple-output supplies, high-frequency converters, active OR-ing, LED drivers, and other applications. With its high-speed pulse-width modulation (PWM) frequency and its high-efficiency on/off switch-mode operation, the MAX1771EPA+ provides reliable power conversion and control.

The MAX1771EPA+ is a 5V to 30V Operating Voltage, 1.5A-15A Peak Current Switching Controller designed to be able to meet a wide range of applications. It is an active OR-ing and/or active OR-ing, with a selectable PWM (pulse width modulation) frequency of up to 1MHz and a 22V/microsecond-ishslew rate for fast current overshoot protection. It has a selection of features that allow for flexibility and customizable operation, such as: 3-Phase Full Bridge Operation, Multiphase Operation, and Low Voltage Cut-Off protection.

The MAX1771EPA+ includes a variety of features for improved performance. The On-chip Oscillator helps provide a fixed switching frequency that reduces the need for external components. The Programmable Frequency Selection feature allows the user to select an internal oscillator frequency based on the application. The High-Precision Duty Cycle (DCC) feature helps to reduce the system-level current differences encountered in multiple output applications.
