The MAX1864TEEE+ is a 3.2V～5.5V, low-dropout, linear regulator with power supply controllers, monitors, and with selectable low-power shutdown mode. It is designed to provide faster transient response and excellent line/load regulation for a wide range of applications, particularly for small battery-powered, portable systems.

This integrated, low-noise regulator is an ideal addition for all types of power-supply applications. Its small foot print and low drop-out voltage of 600mV make it an ideal choice in designs where the supply voltage is close to the regulated output voltage. It integrated many protections, including over-temperature, over-voltage, input reverse voltage protection and under-voltage lockout.

The MAX1864TEEE+ also includes a power-on/off reset (POR) circuit with an adjustable timeout period. The POR monitor can be used to reset microprocessors and other digital active components when the output voltage rises or falls beyond the preset level. This circuit is activated by either a logic-level input, or by the output voltage.

The built-in feedback comparator monitors the output voltage. With a fast transient response and excellent line/load regulation, the MAX1864TEEE+ delivers consistent performance in any type of application. Dynamic output voltage control with an RC filter is available for applications in which a stabilized output voltage is required. A selectable low-power shutdown mode allows for a reduction of current consumption when the system is operating in a power-down state.
