The MAX196BCNI is a low-power, low-noise CMOS analog-to-digital (A/D) converter designed for data acquisition applications. It is optimized for operation with bipolar analog inputs, and converts bipolar signals using 2-s complement output code which enables the design of custom signal-conditioning circuits and data acquisition systems. The MAX196BCNI offers resolutions of 8 to 16 bits, conversion speeds up to 1Msps, and support for high sample rates. The device also features integral nonlinearity (INL) of less than ±1LSB with no missing codes. Additionally, it provides up to a 25MHz input bandwidth and is low-noise with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of greater than 78dB. This makes the MAX196BCNI an ideal solution for applications such as portable medical devices, precision time-varying data acquisition, signal validation, signal analysis and instrumentation.

The MAX196BCNI is a high-performance A/D converter that utilizes a two-stage design.
