The MAX198BCAI+ includes two 10-bit, digitizers and two 12-bit, digital-to-analog (DAC) products working together to enable the fast control, data conversion and data acquisition needs of automated test and measurement systems. This high-speed data acquisition subsystem is designed to improve the speed and accuracy of test, measurement, and control systems while also reducing system power requirements. The subsystem can be configured to work with different types of process control applications, including audio and video processing, pulse-width modulation, motor and servo controls, analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog conversions, and touch screen controllers.

The MAX198BCAI+ also includes an on-chip voltage reference and two differential inputs for ADCs that help eliminate common mode noise and reduce nonlinearity errors. The differential inputs can process input signals from 0 to 15 V with better than 2 ppm accuracy. The integrated voltage reference helps provide improved accuracy and stability when used for data acquisition or control systems applications.
