The MAX3042BCUE+ is a high-performance advanced receiver transceiver family designed for differential high-speed data systems. It is suitable for various interface applications in different operating conditions. In particular, the device is an ideal choice for communication interface applications such as High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) and displayport applications.
The MAX3042BCUE+ provides an integrated interface solution consisting of differential receivers, adjustable transmitter drivers and low-loss transceivers. The integrated transceiver architecture supports up to 12GHz of data rate. The device is also fabricated using advanced low-power CMOS technologies based on a 0.18um process technology. This enables it to offer very low power consumption and excellent performance at high data rates.
The device is available in a space-saving, 28-pin Enhanced Flat No-lead (EFN) package. It features a wide range of operating temperature ranges, which makes it suitable for a variety of environmental conditions. The device also utilizes adaptive equalization, which allows it to dynamically adjust the equalization and de-emphasis to achieve excellent system performance.
The MAX3042BCUE+ operates on 3.3V and can be easily configured to operate on other voltage levels such as 1.8V, 2.5V and 5V. The device supports data rates of up to 12GHz and has a configurable output swing level up to 1V peak-to-peak. The device is capable of transmitting and receiving data in 2-level, 3-level and 4-level Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) format.
The MAX3042BCUE+ also features multiple protocol support including HDMI, DisplayPort, MIPI-DSI, SMPTE-292M and LVDS. It is compliant with the HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2, MIPI Display Serial Interface (DSI) and SMPTE-292M standards. The device is also compliant with the LVDS standard.
The MAX3042BCUE+ uses a variety of techniques such as adaptive equalization, de-emphasis and level shifting to ensure reliable high-speed data transmission in even the most challenging environments. The device also provides low-skew output for maximum signal integrity and compatibility with different system architectures.
