The MAX3491ECSD is a high-speed, low-voltage, differential receiver and transceiver designed forapplications requiring data rates up to 3 Mbps and operating in low voltage (+1.65 V to +3.3 V) supplies. Working Principle
The MAX3491ECSD works by allowing a single signal line to be characterized as a differential signal. It doesthis by using the electrons of the pair of signals to detect the inversion of the signal. When the signal inverts,the MAX3491ECSD detects this inversion and drives the data either higher or lower depending on the inversion ofthe signal. The device is also able to detect any errors that occur in the line, such as noise or a signal beinginterrupted. It can then drive the data line back to the ‘0’ bit level.
The MAX3491ECSD is also capable of adjusting the signal levels depending on the input voltage, which canallow the device to automatically adjust itself to the different signal levels that it encounters. This ensures thatno matter the signal level, the data line can always be regulated accordingly.
