The MAX3085ECPA+ is an ultra-low-power, programmable, multirange (3.3/4.4/5.5/6.0 V) RS-485/RS-422 transmitter/receiver. This device is capable of operating from a wide range of supply voltage (2.0 to 5.5 V), while maintaining the full-duplex communication in the presence of an up to 10 kV ESD HBM on the bus lines.The MAX3085ECPA+ consists of a configurable transmission speed, extended common-mode voltage range, integrated transient voltage protection, auto-disable feature, and a half-duplex mode with a bus-idle detector. This device supports a high operating speed up to 3.2 Mbps with a low quiescent current of 0.9µA and peak current 750µA. The integrated protection circuits support high-temperature operation up to +125 °C and static discharge (ESD).
