The MAX3087CSA+ is a tiny, low-power, single-channel, high-speed transceiver device in the MAX300xx family of transceiver products from Maxim Integrated. This device includes a cross-point transceiver and an operating system that supports a variety of industrial temperature ranges, with interface speed from 10Mbps to 250Mbps. It is extremely reliable, making it ideal for applications where reliable communication and support for extended temperature ranges are paramount.

The MAX3087CSA+ is designed for use as a field-deployable, fault-tolerant transceiver for low-power, high-speed data communication in various Industrial, Automotive, Medical, and Low-Power Control applications. Its small size and extremely low power consumption make it an ideal solution for applications where size, power, reliability, and temperature range are critical. It is especially suitable for IEEE1394 compliant communications.

The MAX3087CSA+ is optimized for operation across a wide variety of industrial temperatures with an operating temperature range of -40 to +125 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for harsh environments. It features a pair of single-ended transmit and receive channels with a data transfer rate of up to 250 Mbps. The device includes an adjustable power save function, through which the system power consumption can be further reduced when not in use. The MAX3087CSA+ supports various serial protocol layers, including 8-bit or 16-bit I2C, SPI and UART.
