Pin Configuration and Working Principle

TheMAX3093EEPE+ is available in a standard 48-pin TQFN package. Its pin configuration is as follows (Figure 1):

The main components of the MAX3093EEPE+ are the transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is responsible for taking serial data from the microcontroller and sending it to the other end of the serial link. The receiver is responsible for receiving the serial data from the other end and sending it to the microcontroller. The MAX3093EEPE+ integrates these two components into a single package to simplify electrical designs.The transmitter and receiver are powered through the Vcc pin. The transmitter section consists of the Driver Enable (DrEn) signal, the transmit data (TxD) signal, Transmit Enable (TxEn) signal, Data Input (Din) signal, and the Transmit Disable (TxDis) signal. The receiver section consists of the Receiver Data (RxD) signal, Receiver Enable (RxEn) signal, and the Data output (Dout) signal.The microcontroller sends the serial data to be transmitted to the Din pin. When the DrEn signal is high, the transmitter is enabled and the data from the Din pin is sent to the TxD pin. This data is then transmitted to the other end of the serial link. When the TxDis signal is low, the transmitter is disabled and no data is transmitted.The data received at the other end of the serial link is sent to the RxD pin. When the RxEn signal is high, the receiver is enabled and the data on the RxD pin is sent to the Dout pin. The microcontroller then reads the data from the Dout pin.
