The MAX3098EAEPE+ applications include a wide range of uses from power, industrial and medical applications to consumer and communications applications. The device is a robust, multi-function 3-state transceiver with an integrated power-on reset (POR) circuit, complete signal conditioning, signal isolation, line drivers/receivers, data transceivers, signal level conversion and level-shifter technologies. It is operated as either a master or slave device, allowing it to be used in various applications such as Ethernet, Firewire, SPI, USB, Serial ATA, and SCSI. The device utilizes an ultra-low power CMOS technology with an adjustable power output range of 0.25 to 6.25V.

The MAX3098EAEPE+ receivers and transceivers feature stand-alone 3-state logic circuitry and offer the ability to interface single or multiple logic types to a single bus line. These receivers and transceivers are useful for applications that require interfacing two devices on different voltage domains.
