Working Principle

The MAX3098EBEEE+ is a single-channel asynchronous receiver with a +Voltage-Relay function, which is used to control up to three additional low-voltage systems. This function is implemented using a pull-down transistor and a pseudo-sidecar (PMOS) transistor. When the external voltage applied to the PMOS device reaches a predetermined voltage level, the PMOS device is activated, and the pull-down device is pulled low, signalling the +Voltage-Relay.

The MAX3098EBEEE+ works by receiving the data from the asynchronous communication network and using the +Voltage-Relay to deactivate the equivalent low-voltage systems. The asynchronous data received is then converted to the equivalent low voltage systems and forwarded onto the respective equipment. The MAX3098EBEEE+ can monitor up to 8Mbps communication speeds, ensuring data-critical low voltage systems can be controlled in real-time.
