The MAX311CWN is a high-speed, low-power SPST (single-pole single-throw) analog switch, which is ideal for switching applications involving both low-voltage and high-voltage signals, and can also be used as a power MOSFET switch. Utilizing CMOS technology and a very low on-resistance, the MAX311CWN makes this switch ideal for many applications such as analog multiplexers, sample-and-hold circuits, ground switching, and power capacitor switching, among others.

The MAX311CWN is a monolithic CMOS analog switch that provides low on-resistance, accurate switching performance, and two power-down modes. In addition, the switch can be controlled using a single or split digital control signals.The MAX311CWN is designed with precision current-sinking digital inputs that are compatible with standard CMOS and TTL logic, making it ideal for analog or digital applications.

This switch has a fast switching speed, moderate propagation delay, and is capable of handling signals up to +12.0V. The MAX311CWN is rated for VIN (signal voltage) of up to ± 4.5V and for a low RDSON (on-state resistance) of 3 Ω @ +/- 5V. Also, the switch features hot-swap protection and is rated for 100mA continuous current in the ON state.
