The MAX3222ECUP+T Interface - Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers is widely used in the communication and computing industry for providing data exchange capabilities between various devices and/or systems. The MAX3222ECUP+T is a two-wire-plus-bus driver/receiver/transceiver with an EIA-232 compatible, differential-byte-wide bus. The driver/receiver/transceiver provides a balanced surge-suppressing line driver on each end that can drive up to seven-load elements. The bus is differential with a center-tapped null which allows fewer driver/receiver/transceivers to receive multiple bit busses successively.
The driver/receiver/transceiver is ideal for applications that require differential signaling such as remote data acquisition, pointing devices, and CAT5/Ethernet communication. The driver/receiver/transceiver can be easily configured for fast and accurate communication with serial or parallel transmit/receive protocols, or for data communications down to traditional EIA-232 speed.
The MAX3222ECUP+T also includes an on-chip ESD circuit that provides a reliable power source for serial I/O applications and protection for systems against electrostatic discharge. The ESD circuit is designed to handle up to 15kV of ESD which makes it suitable for use in applications that require a high level of protection against ESD.
The driver/receiver/transceiver is designed to work with a wide range of different systems and voltages. It is able to provide a low-current, logic-level level voltage suitable for most logic levels while allowing it to be connected to a wide range of different systems.
