The MAX3223EETP+ is an RS-3221E solution in an ultra-small 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.75mm package. It combines a 300bps serial communication interface driver, receiver, and transceiver, providing a low power (20mA typical) and low voltage (3V-5.5V) solution for applications that are space and power-constrained.

The MAX3223EETP+ is tailored for RS-232 applications and is ideal for portable, wearable and low power battery-powered applications. It provides full-duplex communication with a wide range of baudrates, from 300 bps to 921.6 kbps, and is fully compliant with the TIA/EIA-232, V.24 and V.28 interface standards.

The MAX3223EETP+ provides 4-wire full-duplex data transfers with separate receive and transmit outputs for optimal versatility. Its integrated dual ESD protection guard pins protect the device and the application against damage caused by electrostatic discharge.
