The MAX3223EEVKIT+ allows users to quickly evaluate the performance of Maxim\'s 3223 high-speed RS-232 transceiver. This evaluation and demonstration kit is used to evaluate the RS-232 transceiver\'s operating performance and also to demonstrate proper board level manufacturing techniques.

The MAX3223EEVKIT+ simplifies the evaluation process of simply connecting the transceiver to an RS-232 port on a PC and observing the results of basic operations. This kit also provides the user with the ability to evaluate the transceiver\'s operation in both single-ended and differential bus configurations.

The transistor-transistor logic (TTL) output levels of the transceiver are compatible with industry standard devices, allowing for complete utilization of the transceiver\'s transceiver core while maintaining compatibility with the available production-ready hardware. Additionally, the high-speed settings of the transceiver can be tested using the MAX3223EEVKIT+ as well to determine the necessary changes needed to be made within the system\'s circuitry.

The MAX3223EEVKIT+ Evaluation Board features an on-board power supply and isolation to eliminate the need for external components during the evaluation of the transceiver. Additionally, the board contains LEDs and jumpers to visualize the status of the transceiver during operation.

The MAX3223EEVKIT+ includes two single-ended connections as well as one differential interface that allows user to connect the transceiver to serial ports on a PC or other device.
