The MAX3349EETE+ also has special features such as hot swap protection, low power consumption, Slew Rate Control and a data rate of up to 3 Mbps.

The MAX3349EETE+ operates at a maximum of 3 Mbps and is pin compatible with the popular 3 Mbps MAX3349E. This transceiver also features an integrated Hot Swap circuit that allows the connection to be securely made and disconnected without disrupting the system. Additionally, the Slew Rate Control feature ensures that the edges remain at a low rate, increasing the signal integrity. The SLEW_LOW pin can also be used to fine tune the slew rate of the edges for the best performance.
