It is a part of Texas Instruments’ Power Management and Interface (PMIC) pedigree of semiconductor products. This device utilizes current mode control to provide an acceptably low output voltage ripple and better power factor. It also provides thermal balance compensation to improve reliability, uniformity, and macro channel extinction ratio control.The MAX3737ETJ+ is typically used as an external driver for high power VCSELs in telecom applications such as Fiber Channel and Ethernet. The device is ideal for long-haul/metro applications due to its excellent optical performance and higher switching speed.
