The MAX3885ECB+D is an advanced Integrated Clock Data Recovery (ICDR) and Clock Multiplication Device (CMD) designed for low-power, high-speed applications. It has two different modes of operation, the Serializer mode and the Deserializer mode. In both modes, the device can operate at data rates up to 6.4 Gigabits/second (Gbps).
The MAX3885ECB+D is used in a variety of applications, including high-speed data transmission, clock recovery, clock multiplication and modulation, and High Definition links. The deserializer mode of operation supports up to 6.4 Gbps of data recovery and incorporates advanced jitter reduction algorithms to improve data integrity.
The device has an on-chip phase-locked loop (PLL) for clock multiplication, a differential clock data recovery (CDR) unit, and a deserializer that recovers the encoded clock and data. The PLL multiplies the original clock to provide the data with a higher clock rate. The CDR generates a clock signal with gradually decreasing jitter as the bit rate increases, while the deserializer recovers clock and data. The PLL, CDR, and deserializer cooperate to filter and transmit the data stream with minimal jitter.
