MAX3996CTP+ is a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Controller specially designed to deliver high current pulse signals to drive Laser Diode units. It can deliver up to 2A peak current (1A continuous) and is available in through-hole and surface mount 8-Pin MSOP packages, offering a wide range of flexibility to product design engineers.
The MAX3996CTP+ is generally used for powering high power laser diodes in a variety of applications that include laser rangefinder, barcode scanner, optoelectronic, and point of sale printer. The broad adjustment range, programmable slew rate and high efficiency make it an ideal solution for driving high power laser diode.
