MAX6023EBT50+T is a low-power voltage reference intended for precision power supply in electronic devices. It is an integrated circuit (IC) integrated with an adjustable-output low-drop-out linear regulator and two low-drop-out (LDO) voltage references. It uses a combination of a voltage reference integrated with an adjustable low drop-out linear regulator. This combination helps to provide much better accuracy, stability and linearity when compared to traditional voltage sources.The MAX6023EBT50+T voltage reference comes in a 6-pin, SOT-23 package with integrated thermal compensation and reverse-current protection. The various functions of the IC are provided by its two parts; the voltage reference and adjustable low drop-out linear regulator.The voltage reference consists of an amplifier circuit and a zener diode. This amplifier\'s input is connected to the reference voltage and its feedback is connected to the zener diode. The zener diode maintains the regulated voltage level, while the amplifier amplifies the voltage dropping on the zener diode.The adjustable low drop-out regulator uses an operational amplifier to compare the output of the voltage reference to an external reference voltage. If the output voltage of the voltage reference deviates from the reference voltage level, the operational amplifier feeds the error signal to the low drop-out regulator. The low drop-out regulator then adjusts the output of the MAX6023EBT50+T to match the external reference voltage.Applications of the MAX6023EBT50+T voltage reference include AC/DC power supplies, analog to digital converters, telecom, medical and audio equipment, portable electronics, and power conditioning.
