MAX8784ETL+ is a power management integrated circuit (PMIC) specifically designed for commercial and industrial applications. It can provide up to 6A of continuous current with a voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V. The device consists of a 6-channel step-down DC/DC converter, a dedicated low voltage system power regulator, and an interval timer with Optional RTC. The low voltage system power regulator is a precision, high power, and low quiescent current system power regulator. It operates in either fixed or adjustable mode, with adjustable outputs available as low as 0.8V. The device features low power shutdown, programmable overcurrent protection and short-circuit protection. It is designed to eliminate generator power sequencing problems associated with automatic voltage scaling, and provides fast-transient response for rapid load regulation.
The MAX8784ETL+ step-down DC/DC converter provides high efficiency and low output noise for compact SMPS designs. It operates from an input voltage of 2.75V to 5.5V and has an adjustable output voltage from 0.8V to 5.5V. The device offers up to 95% efficiency, low noise operation, and a 0.2μA (typ) quiescent current. It also features adjustable switching frequency, programmable soft-start, adjustable output current limit and adjustable output voltage.
The MAX8784ETL+ interval timer with optional RTC is a 6-pin timer specifically designed for cost-sensitive timing applications. It offers a range of features and functions, including 8-bit interval timers, 8-bit real-time clock, flexible output configurations, and an optional interrupt output with programmable time-out mode. The device is designed to be used in a wide range of applications, such as appliance and automotive, medical, building control and security systems.
