The MAX8877EZK25+T is a low-voltage, low-dropout regulator (LDO) suitable for a wide range of applications such as powering switches, voltage scaling of load environments, as well as post-regulator stages of LDOs. It offers adjustable output voltage and a wide input voltage range of 1.8V to 7.0V. The MAX8877EZK25+T LDO is specifically designed for battery-operated applications and delivers up to 100mA output current with a very low dropout voltage of 375mV at 100mA load.

The MAX8877EZK25+T is a two-terminal ultra-low dropout linear regulator that offers a low-profile, large solution size and superior tolerance to line, load and temperature variations. Its ultra-low dropout voltage, at only 375mV at 100mA load, is achieved through a combination of a high-performance pass transistor design and manufacturing process. This results in higher efficiency, faster transient response and very low output noise. The MAX8877EZK25+T also includes unique protection features such as under-voltage lockout, over-temperature protection, and current limit.

The MAX8877EZK25+T is a versatile linear regulator with a wide application range. When used with a high-efficiency switching regulator such as a buck converter, it can optimize power efficiency as it can achieve up to 85% efficiency by taking advantage of the low-dropout voltage of the LDO.It can also be used as a post-regulator stage that helps to extend the battery life in battery-operated applications, as it ensures an ultra-low dropout voltage. The MAX8877EZK25+T is ideally suited for providing a stable output voltage in low-voltage systems where transient response and noise are critical.
