Power management integrated circuits (PMICs) play an important role in the operations of modern electronic devices. They include batteries, voltage regulators, switching converters, and supervisory circuits that are responsible for protecting the device against over voltage, over temperature and current faults. Among PMICs, supervisors are the most important members that monitor the operation of system or device, especially in automotive and aerospace environments, and take corrective actions required to ensure the safe and reliable operation of systems or devices.

One popular product in this category is the MIC1810-15U-TR, a low-cost supervisor for battery management in automotive, industrial, and other applications. It uses the popular two-channel linear topology to provide over-voltage and under-voltage protection for two-cell polymer Li-ion batteries. The MIC1810-15U-TR provides exceptional accuracy and stability, with a single channel accuracy of better than ±1.75%, and a total accuracy of better than ±2.2%. It is designed to be used in automotive, industrial and other applications, and is available in an extended temperature range (TJ) of -40°C to +125°C, making it suitable for a wide variety of environments.

The MIC1810-15U-TR is designed for use with a 3.3V power supply, but can also work with a wide range of input voltages.
