The MIC2214-FMBML-TR is a highly efficient linear low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulator from Microchip that offers up to 500 mA of continuous current with a dropout voltage of 280 mV. The MIC2214-FMBML-TR is aimed at applications requiring precision low-noise power supplies, such as very low current applications, powering sensitive analogue circuits, and powering digital systems where a reliable low-noise source is critical. The MIC2214-FMBML-TR is a monolithic LDO in a 3mm x 3mm tinyDFN package that provides 500 mA of continuous current. The device provides a pin-selectable feature that allows users to select between two available output voltages: either 1.0 V or 0.9 V (VOUT_LO). This device uses an external capacitor of minimum 100nF for reducing output voltage ripple. Furthermore, it features an internal pull-down resistor on the enable pin, allowing the user to connect it directly to logic circuitry. Additionally, the device has an adjustable Soft-Start, which enables a constant inrush current of less than 10µA.
