Transil (Transient Voltage Suppressor – TVS) Diodes are electrical components specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from transient overvoltage fields. When the voltage drops to the Zener breakdown voltage, the thyristor is triggered and another transistor begins conduction, discharging any remaining energy. The transistor provides a fast switch-off, preventing the buildup of excessive voltages.
