The MP4423AGQ-Z is a Switching regulator in the Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) voltage regulator family that provides an efficient and reliable solution to a variety of DC-DC conversion requirements.The MP4423AGQ-Z features a 3A/4.7A Hot Swap Controller with a shutdown voltage as low as 2.6V. It provides a wide input voltage range from 0.8V to 18V and an adjustable current mode bucklswith 1% accuracy. The output voltage of the MP4423A is adjustable from 0.8V to 16V, and it can operate in either Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) or Pulsed Frequency Modulation (PFM) mode to maximize efficiency. The MCU has a fast transient response and a fast line transient response with a maximum range of up to 12.5V.The MP4423AGQ-Z also features an integrated low OMOS N-Channel MOSFET, which eliminates the need for a separate power MOSFET. This reduces the size and cost of the circuit while ensuring efficient switching.The MP4423AGQ-Z can be used in a variety of applications such as notebook computers and other mobile products, including Linear Charger Managers, Automotive Chargers & Power Supplies, Telecommunications and Server Power Supplies, AC/DC Adapters & Converters, and Set-top Boxes. In DC-DC conversion systems, the MP4423AGQ-Z can be used to improve efficiency, reduce power consumption, and increase battery life.The MP4423AGQ-Z features a simple feedback control architecture. The output voltage is monitored by an internal feedback circuit. When the output voltage differs from the desired value, the circuit will adjust the switching frequency to regulate the output voltage.
