Transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diodes provide protection against voltage transients. The MXSMLJ40A/TR is a unidirectional TVS diode used to protect a circuit from transient voltage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD), electrical fast transients (EFT), and lightning.
