NCP3064BDR2G is a type of DC DC Switching Regulator which is used in various fields. It has an advanced high-efficiency regulation, fast transient response and low output noise characteristics which make it suitable for portable computers, personal digital assistance (PDA), camera, radio, and GPS applications. The device is available in a compact SOT-23-5 package, making it suitable for space saving applications.

The NCP3064BDR2G is a buck-boost converter using a switching mode approach so as to convert input voltage to the desired output voltage. It is a synchronous step-down regulator for output current of up to 600mA, designed for use with input voltage ranging from 1.8V up to 5.5V. It consist of an integrated low side power switch,passive components, 3.2V internal reference, feedback circuitry and an on-chip control logic.

The NCP3064BDR2G exhibits very high efficiency which can reach up to 96%. This makes the device ideal for applications that require long battery life, high efficiency and low ripple. The device incorporates power saving shutdown mode,low quiescent current and active output voltage discharge. It runs at a constant frequency and switches from its high state to its low state, or vice versa. The device uses an internal logic control to control the switching frequency depending on the input and output voltages, current and temperature.
