NCP5106APG is a member of ON Semiconductor\'s family of Power Management ICs (PMICs). As a Gate Driver, it is designed to provide the necessary level shifting between microcontrollers and external transistors, eliminating the need for separate level translator and temperature sensors. Applications typically include controlling the operating voltage, current and frequency of a power supply.

NCP5106APG is a monolithic MOSFET driver IC that includes two independent integrated circuits, each with a driver for a high-side and low-side NFET. This makes it suitable for driving up to 4 NFETS for application in both synchronous and nonsynchronous DC to DC converters. NCP5106APG has built in under voltage lock-out protection, which prevents it from operating when the voltage is below the specified level, thus preventing improper operation of transistors.
