Working Principle
The NLSX3012DMR2G is a set of two independent translator devices. Each device is capable of translating one data line at a time between two different logic levels. It has a feature called AutoPowerDown which dynamically adjusts the power usage based on its actual drive current, and it also supports different operating regions for flexible voltage-level translation.
There is an automatic power-down control logic that senses the drive current of each data line when it is driven from one logic level to the other and only drives the necessary current in order to correctly switch the line. This not only saves power but also minimizes EMI generation. The device also supports Hot-Plugging, or the ability to insert and remove a device without causing damage to the device or other components in the system.
In addition, the NLSX3012DMR2G has a Proximity Switch Control to reduce undershoot and/or overshoot of the signal, allowing the device to provide greater accuracy in the translated signal. It also includes integrated SNR guardbands to help minimize distortion.
The NLSX3012DMR2G has a low operating power range, making it suitable for low-power applications, and it also supports I2C bus communication for easy control. Additionally, the device features various output impedances to ensure optimum compatibility with different components.
