Power Factor Correction (PFC) is a method for improving the power factor in an electric power system to reduce losses due to inductive loads. It is achieved by using a device called a power factor controller (PFC). It is commonly used in high power installations such as industrial plants, hospitals and other commercial buildings. The PFC713EG is a voltage-controlled PFC power factor controller capable of operating at up to 190VAC.
