- The PFC7325L energizes the PFC converter and enters the startup mode. The current is limited by the internal current limit loop.

- The PFC7325L implements its peak-current-mode control in the pre-regulation phase. The detected peak current is compared with the current reference. The error is then used to determine the switching of the Mosfets.
- In the current regulation phase, the PFC7325L seeks to maintain a constant current in the inductor. Once the peak current drop falls below the 50V threshold, the PFC7325L switches to the post-regulation phase.
- In the post-regulation phase, the PFC7325L switches off the Mosfets for variable amounts of time, aiding in power factor correction and ripple reduction.
The PFC7325L also includes several built-in protection features, such as thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overvoltage protection (OVP) and overload protection (OLP). These features serve to protect the system against any user error.
