PFS7326H application field and working principle
Power Factor Correction (PFC) is a technique used in power supplies to improve the quality of the power delivered to electrical devices. The PFS7326H is able to work in a wide input voltage range of 90V-265V AC, allowing for a wide range of input: power factor correction, power conversion and conversion efficiency optimization, as well as high-current peak pulse and droop current mode support.
The working principle of the PFS7326H is based on the fact that it combines a quasi-resonant and soft switching controller with a low side MOSFET and a high side MOSFET. The quasi-resonant controller generates switching signals according to the input voltage, whereas the low side and high side MOSFETs are responsible for turning on and off the output bridge circuit. The switching action of the PFS7326H ensures an accurate, low noise and low distortion power factor correction that reduces the inrush current.
The PFS7326H incorporates a number of features designed to optimize power performance. It provides external compensation support for both peak current mode and droop current mode, enabling the user to optimize the loop stability and reduce noise interference to the input power line. Additionally, the PFS7326H includes a temperature sense diode that helps in monitoring the output bridge temperature and reducing the output power accordingly.
